Understanding the ever-changing needs associated with youth development, the Thielen Foundation will work alongside local organizations to cultivate impactful programs that address the most pressing challenges that hinder young people from recognizing and achieving their full potential. Heading into the start of the 2018 NFL season, the Thielen Foundation is pleased to partner with Pediatric Behavioral Health at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital, which shares in its mission to help kids overcome adversity and serve as a support system for those managing mental health challenges. Heading into 2019, the Thielen Foundation will also seek another partner who shares in its mission to address some of the most pressing challenges hindering young people from recognizing and achieving their full potential.

University Of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital

The Thielen Foundation’s first formal partner.  Since the inception of the organization, Adam and Caitlin have supported patients and their families with regular visits to in-patient and out-patient care at the hospital and also remote location facilities.  The Thielens openly share stories of hope, strength and faith and also offer wellness tools that they incorporate into their busy lives, such as journaling and yoga. They talk openly about how they deal with stress, anxiety and negativity from social media and also the importance of having an encouraging support system.

To date, hundreds of WOODCHUCK USA journals have been distributed to patients; PULTE HOMES has donated hundreds of holiday gifts and activity bags; CHILI’S is supporting quality time for patients and their families with gift cards to their restaurants; and CUB FOODS has backed us with a generous donation to supply patients with yoga mats to take home.  Thielen Foundation is grateful to these corporate partners to make a positive impact on the lives of these patients.

Football Camps

Thielen Foundation hosted the Second Annual Adam Thielen Football Camps, at TCO facility in Eagan, home of the Minnesota Vikings.  An ELITE Camp, for high school age kids, striving to take their game to the next level was held for 80+ skill position players.  The camp included one-on-one football instruction, along with leadership and sportsmanship lessons. Combine tests were led by some of the best performance coaches in the country – trainers from ETS Performance — that have been instrumental in Adam’s career and many other top NFL players.

YOUTH Camp was attended by 275 kids ages 6-13 years old.  The camp included individual football instruction, character development, running drills and catching footballs from Adam and coaches.  All funds and proceeds benefit Thielen Foundation, which aims to serve, educate and inspire at-risk youth so they can reach their full potential in life.

Salvation Army Christmas

Adam and Caitlin have a long tradition of supporting families in need during the holiday season.  Now, Thielen Foundation is taking their giving spirit to the next level and blessing many parents and children with toys, clothing, household essentials and food at Christmas time.

Not only will the families receive gifts, but Adam and Caitlin spend quality time with each family and offer a once-in-a-lifetime experience of sharing a meal, investing time with their children and offering them hope and encouragement for their futures.

Brooklyn Center High School

Fall of 2019, Thielen Foundation will be rolling out a new program that strives to close the achievement gap for underserved high school student athletes and incorporate enhanced sports specific athletic training, nutrition and wellness components and educational incentives as well as provide much needed sports equipment.

Both Adam and Caitlin can attest to the fact that athletics is a powerful platform that can develop discipline, time management, healthy competitive nature and positive character and leadership qualities. They are excited to support, inspire and invest in the lives of high school athletes along with their supporting partners MATTER, Adidas, ETS Training Systems, and Tyus Jones.
